Unbroken Fellowship With the Father: A Study of Intimacy in John

DAY 2 OF 5

Living Where the Glory Dwells
Jesus’ prayer in John 17 lifts the curtain on eternity. He says to the Father, “I have given them the glory that You gave me”. Glory is not a distant shimmer reserved for heaven; it is the radiant love shared by Father and Son—now extended to you. Redemption didn’t just clean you; it re-located you. “Your life is now hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3 NIV). You stand inside grace (Romans 5:2) and carry the Spirit’s presence (1 Corinthians 6:19). In other words, glory is your habitat.

Jesus then defines eternal life: “to know and experience You” (John 17:3 TPT). Eternal life is not a reward that starts after death; it is intimacy with the Father, right now. You belong in the Most Holy Place—not as a trembling servant, but as a confident child. Hebrews, therefore, urges, “Let us draw near … with full assurance” (Hebrews 10:22 NIV). Confidence is the language of people who know where they live.

But there is more. Jesus adds, “My glory is revealed through their surrendered lives” (John 17:10 TPT). As we abide where the glory dwells, our ordinary decisions, relationships and workplaces become conduits of that same glory. You don’t chase significance; you carry it—because Christ lives in you (Galatians 2:20).

Pause and ask: Where have I been approaching God like a house-guest rather than a family member? The door is unlocked. The Father is not in the front parlour waiting for perfect manners; He is in the kitchen, sleeves rolled up, welcoming you to live with Him.

Next Step – “In-House Pass”
Make or print a small card that reads, “I live where the glory dwells – John 17:22.” Keep it in your wallet. Each time you see it (paying, tapping a card, opening a door) whisper, “Thank You, Father, that I am at home in Your presence.” Let that awareness reshape conversations and choices today.
