Every Nation: Getting to Know God More Through Psalm 19ნიმუში

God's Style
I’ve loved art ever since I was a little girl. I remember my mom organizing after-school classes with an art teacher near our home so that I could learn as much as possible. My teacher explained to me that everyone has their own style—a style that makes you stop and say, “Oh, I can point to who created that!” Maybe it’s the way you swirl the paintbrush or the colors you love to use when you draw. Maybe you always add something special to your art to let people know it’s yours!
The psalmist David, who wrote Psalm 19, says that God has a style too: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalm 19:1, NIV).
This world, in all its beauty and wonder, is pointing toward our glorious God! Whether you are on a snowy mountain in Mongolia or on a misty beach in Oman, God created that very spot! The first verse of Genesis introduces us to our amazing Creator: “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1, NIV). The rocks below your feet and the clouds above your head are all pieces of His handiwork that show us more about who He is.
Have you ever heard the skies speak? Have you ever had a conversation with the ocean? These might seem like silly questions, but God’s Word tells us that the things God created are pointing back at Him!
- As a family: Take a walk and point out TEN things that God created! (Don’t forget to point out yourself!)
- Need a hint? The grass, trees, insects, rocks, flowers, snow, rain, people, clouds, sun, moon, and stars were all created by God!

About this Plan

Did you know that you can learn about our amazing God whoever you are and wherever you go? The world around us teaches us about who He is. So does the Bible, which we call God’s Word. This week we’re going to read a whole chapter of God’s Word so we can learn what it means to see God in the world around us and the Word in front of us.
