God’s Strengthening Word: Learning From Biblical Teachingsნიმუში

Introduction
Job 28:1-28: Today’s reading is a poetic description of the search for wisdom. Often seen as a quiet interlude in the book of Job, this chapter compares the human search for wisdom to mining for precious metals and jewels (see also Proverbs 2:4). True wisdom is grounded in having reverence for the Lord.
Today’s Key Verse: Job 28:28 GNT
God said to us humans, “To be wise, you must have reverence for the Lord. To understand, you must turn from evil.”
Reflect
What is the value of wisdom in today’s reading? According to verses 23–27, what is the true source of wisdom, and where can it be found? In what ways do you seek wisdom?
Pray
Lord God, reverence for you is the source of true wisdom and understanding. Such wisdom is worth more than silver or gold and is more precious than the finest jewels. Lead me each day, guided by your teachings. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Job 36:5-26: Job receives advice from his friend Elihu.
