When You’re Desperate: 21 Days of Honest Prayer

DAY 21 OF 21

These are Jesus’ final words to His disciples — and they still speak with urgency today. The command is clear: go and make disciples, teach, and baptize. This is what we’ve been sent into the world to do. But Jesus doesn’t send us out alone. He promises His presence — always, to the very end.

Desperate prayer is what keeps us tethered to that presence. It reminds us that we don’t carry out this mission by effort alone, but with Him — and for Him.

Practice:

Ask God to keep your heart tied to His mission. Ask for clarity about where He’s already placed you to make disciples. Ask for boldness, for faithfulness, and for a deeper awareness of His presence as you go.

Desperate prayer leads to surrendered obedience — and confident going.

Guided Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for including me in Your mission,

to make disciples everywhere.

Help me to share Jesus’ love and truth

with everyone I meet,

both right where I live

and far beyond my comfort zone.

Guide me each day to step out in faith.

Give me wisdom to follow You faithfully

and to teach others all You have taught me.

Cover my fears and doubts with courage.

Ignite my passion to spread Your Gospel with joy.

Use me to bring glory to Your name

in every place I go.

I surrender my plans to Your purpose.

Equip me to lead others

into a deeper relationship with You.

Make me a faithful disciple

Who makes disciples.

Thank You for always being with me.

About this Plan

When You’re Desperate: 21 Days of Honest Prayer

This is a 21-day prayer journey for when you feel stuck, tired, or just ready to get honest with God. Each day gives you a short passage to read, a brief summary, and a simple way to practice real, desperate prayer. We’ll look at moments in Scripture where people cried out to God — not with polished prayers, but with raw, gut-level faith — and learn to pray that way too. Let’s pour out our prayers and see what God does with them.
