Day 7: Prayer to Return to Your First Love

Dear Heavenly Father,

We love and adore you. Your greatness is truly unsearchable. I come to you today with a broken and contrite heart, asking for forgiveness for the sins that I have carried out in my words, thoughts, or actions. I have strayed so far away from you, but I can hear your voice and feel you tugging at my heart, whispering, “Return to me, my beloved child.”

Thank you for being such a loving Father who stands with His arms open, patiently awaiting my return. You have pursued me, O’ Lord, and given me many chances to return, many chances to choose you, for eternity. And today is the day that I run back into your arms, my safe place, never to look back.

I pray this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, amen.
