Heaven (Part 2)ნიმუში

Reigning With Jesus
Imagine a world where there’s no injustice, no brokenness, only perfect peace and joy. A place where Jesus is King, and we’re not just living there but reigning with Him. That’s the future God has planned for those who believe.
2 Timothy 2:12 says, 'If we endure, we will also reign with him' (NIV). The word reign in Greek, βασιλεύω (basileuō), means 'to rule as a king', but this isn’t about power as the world understands it.
Jesus showed us true kingship, leading with humility, serving with love, and bringing healing to those in need. Reigning with Christ means reflecting His heart, partnering with Him to bring justice and peace to Creation.
Revelation 5:10 gives us this beautiful picture: 'You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth' (NIV). And in Revelation 22:5, we’re promised that this reign isn’t temporary: 'They will reign forever and ever' (NIV).
But what does this mean for us now?
- Reigning with Christ is about living with purpose and reflecting His love.
- Our faith, perseverance, and choices today prepare us for this incredible future.
- Every act of obedience and trust shapes us to take our place in His eternal kingdom.
- Life’s challenges aren’t wasted; they’re part of God’s plan to make us ready for something far greater.
Reflect
The thing that excites me most about reigning with Christ is the thought of people living in peace under His rule, free from fear, sin, and brokenness.
- What’s your vision of reigning with Christ?
- What excites you most about reigning with Christ?
- How does this promise inspire you today?
Pray
Lord, thank You for Your promise that we will reign with You. Help us to live faithfully today, trusting that Your plans for us are good and eternal. Strengthen us to endure with hope and joy. Amen.
