Hebrews Part 2: Selfish Christianityნიმუში

The Benefits of Humility
The world says, “Be proud, stand tall, and trust yourself.” But what if the very thing we celebrate—pride—is actually what holds us back? True wisdom starts with humility, and Hebrews challenges us to rethink how we see ourselves in light of God’s greatness.
Hebrews not only humbles us as we wrestle to read and understand it, but it also teaches us why humility matters. In today’s world, pride is celebrated as a virtue instead of a vice, yet the Bible repeatedly condemns it.
Hebrews 2:6 (ESV) asks, “What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him?” It’s a humbling reminder—why should the God of the universe care what we think?
Yet arrogance dominates everything from education to entertainment because people take themselves too seriously and rarely stop to consider how small and foolish our thoughts are compared to God’s. Instead of striving to be innovative or impressive, we should humble ourselves, seek His wisdom, and aspire to think His thoughts after Him.
Humility isn’t weakness—it’s the key to wisdom. When we stop trusting in ourselves and start trusting in God, we gain clarity, peace, and direction.
Are you humble enough to let God teach you?
