Hebrews Part 2: Selfish Christianityნიმუში

The Security of Salvation
It’s a question that shakes the soul and rattles the mind. But here’s the truth—your salvation didn’t start with you, and it doesn’t depend on you to keep it going. If Jesus is the one who saves, then Jesus is the one who keeps. That’s not soft theology—it’s the unshakable foundation of Scripture.
You didn’t earn salvation by being good enough, and you can’t lose it by being bad enough. God’s Word doesn’t stutter when it talks about eternal life. Jesus Himself said, “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand…” (John 10:28-29, ESV). That’s not wishful thinking. That’s a divine promise.
Yes, true believers still sin. Yes, they sometimes wander, struggle, and even doubt. But Jesus doesn’t lose His own. Hebrews 6 addresses this fear head-on. It’s not warning true Christians that they can fall out of salvation—it’s warning what it would take if that were even possible: Jesus would have to be crucified all over again. That’s not just unbiblical—it’s unthinkable.
The author of Hebrews isn’t saying, “You’re done.” He’s saying, “Don’t stay down.” He calls believers “beloved” and speaks with confidence about “better things—things that belong to salvation” (Hebrews 6:9). He reminds them that God sees their faith, their service, their love—and He hasn’t forgotten. God’s people may drift, but they never disappear. Real faith may falter, but it finishes.
Romans 8 drives the nail in the coffin of doubt: Nothing—no sin, no season, no failure—can separate you from the love of God in Christ. Nothing in all creation, not even your worst day, can rip you from His hand.
So, if you’re in Christ, stop living in fear. Start living in faith. You are held, you are loved, and you are secure—not because you never stumble, but because Jesus never lets go.
Do you believe your salvation is secure in Christ—not in your performance? Have you let past sin convince you God’s done with you?
