Why Suicide Is Not the Optionნიმუში

God and the Sanhedrin
In the previous article, we saw how Judas ended up getting involved with the crucifixion of Jesus. After this, it is recorded, that Judas did not feel good about it and wanted to make amends. It is in this situation that we see Judas making another serious mistake. We cannot help feeling sorry.
The Sanhedrin played a direct role, along with Judas, in getting Jesus arrested. To be fair, even if Judas did not intend for having Jesus to be crucified, the Sanhedrin certainly did. And when Judas went to return the money, they rejected him and ridiculed him.
Contrast this with Peter who had been suffering from the same pangs of guilt. Peter went to a lonely place and wept bitterly when the rooster crowed. Judas went to the Sanhedrin but Peter went back to the disciples a group he belonged to- and he eventually turned back to God.
Now the Sanhedrin was a worldly body, with worldly values and worldly authority, with less room for sympathy and understanding than Jesus.
Jesus - His authority and values were from heaven, and his way of dealing with people was not rejection but restoration. His was the way not of worldly recompense but of divine restitution.
When you want to correct things, whether they concern a troubled past or an uncertain future, the one you would go to is God and not people. They can be uncertain, unpredictable, and even apathetic.
Judas is not alone in his worldview and his thoughts, there are millions like him. Judas did die, but no one else has to do that because of some wrong thought, decision or action in the past. All we need is to go to God and rest in Him as we trust in Him to set things right.
Introspection
Are there people that I am depending on to get my life back on track but they do not care?
Remember
Jesus came into the world to redeem us from the past. He brought salvation into the house of Zacchaeus and gave him a new beginning; He can come bring salvation into my life and make all things new.
