Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13ნიმუში

What makes someone part of Jesus’ true family?
As Jesus was teaching, His mother and siblings were waiting outside. But rather than stepping away, He redefines family: “Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Blood ties don’t guarantee belonging in God’s kingdom—only faith and obedience do.
Here is the glory of Christ’s all-allegiance call. He isn’t rejecting His earthly family (we see His care for His mother, Mary, at the cross), but He is pointing to something greater. The Old Testament hinted at a coming people who would truly belong to God (Isaiah 56:3-8). Now, through Jesus, family is redefined—not by genetics, but by grace.
Today, ponder this: Do you treat your relationship with Jesus as a family bond, or just a religious belief?
