Under the Surface: Facing What's Hidden & Finding Freedomნიმუში

The Cost of Hiding
Holding things in only wears us down. In Psalm 32, David describes the weight of his hidden sin and the relief he found when he finally confessed it.
Like David did for a long time, we often convince ourselves that as long as no one knows what we’re struggling with, we’re good. But the truth is, hiding our struggles only makes them heavier. David describes how keeping his sins hidden drained his strength and made him feel crushed.
But when David finally confessed his disobedience to God, he experienced the freedom and joy he thought he’d find by keeping it hidden. God doesn’t want us to live under the weight of secrecy. When we come to him and confess what we’ve done, he gives us grace and forgiveness, relieving the weight we’ve been carrying.
