Drawing Closer: An Everyday Guide for Lentნიმუში

Day 29 - Even Our Most Precious Things
This story in Genesis 22 is breathtaking. If you're a parent, imagine hearing God ask you to sacrifice your own child.
Why would God ask such a thing?
The beginning of this chapter tells us that it was a test. God never wanted Abraham to harm his son. But He did want to know if Abraham was willing to give up what was most precious to him out of love for God.
That is the definition of true surrender. God gave up His most precious gift, Jesus, for us. Are we willing to do the same?
Ask God what He may be calling you to surrender.
