The Bible for Young Explorers: Exodusნიმუში

Field Guide to Exodus
- Exodus means ‘exit’ or way out.
- It is the story of God rescuing his people from slavery in Egypt (c. 1400 bc).
- Exodus reveals God’s power to save . . . as well as how to stand up against bullies and survive in the wilderness.
By the end of Genesis, God’s chosen family (Israel) was in Egypt. Exodus picks up the story 400 years later when the Israelites were being treated like slaves. God sent Moses to stand up to Pharaoh and rescue Israel. After escaping through the Red Sea, they lived in the wilderness. God made big promises to them and also gave lots of laws and instructions. Exodus is an epic story of freedom and justice that can inspire us today.
