Daily Bible Reading— February 2025, God’s Strengthening Word: Sharing God's Loveნიმუში

Introduction
Hosea 11:12—12:14: Today’s reading includes more words of condemnation and judgment, both for the northern kingdom of Israel and now also the southern kingdom of Judah. Their common ancestor, Jacob, is recalled along with references to God’s rescuing the people from slavery in Egypt.
Today’s Key Verse: Hosea 12:10
[The LORD says:] “I spoke to the prophets and gave them many visions, and through the prophets I gave my people warnings.”
Reflect
How is the behavior of the people described (11:12—12:1)? Reread 12:3–6. What can be learned from the reference to Israel’s ancestor Jacob? According to 12:6, what word of hope is given? (The references to Jacob cited in today’s reading can be found in Genesis 25:19–26; 28:10–22; 32:22–32.)
Pray
Almighty God, I trust in you and praise your holy name. I place my hope in you. Help me to be loyal to your teachings and serve as a beacon of your love and justice. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Hosea 13:1–16: Final words of judgment on Israel.
