Unity within the Body of Christ
Pray for unity within the church, that every member may work together for God’s glory and mission.
Since the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) is completely united within Himself, His perfect will is that His Body, the Church, would be united with Him and each other.
Shortly before Jesus was crucified, He prayed that all His disciples through the ages “may be one” (John 17:21). Unity is a top priority on God’s priority list! Paul reiterates this idea in the following verse.
Ephesiana 4:1-3: Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Prayer: Father God, we pray for unity within the Church. May every part of the Body work together for Your glory and purpose. Amen.
