Praying For My Husband

Lord,

I’m struggling to find the words to pray for my husband. With distance between us and communication lacking, how do I know what to pray? Thoughts tumble around inside of me, but they feel disconnected, dry, and worthless. You listen as I rattle off a trailing list, hoping it hits the mark yet sensing a pang of insufficiency. Other times, the words refuse to come together, and a void remains. I question their value, yet You call me to a life of trust and prayer.

Your Word assures me that You know my husband and his every need, whether he stands beside me or miles separate us. Confidence rises when I meditate on Your love for him and when I consider that only You truly know the heart. Settle on my lips the words to pray as I battle spiritually on his behalf, Father. Fill my thoughts with holy wisdom, and help me pinpoint requests. You guide my words with boldness and confidence, leading me on a straight path as I petition for him. I trust in You, and You remain faithful.
