21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: Lectio Divinaნიმუში

Preparation: Today, you’ll be reading from Acts 2:1-13. As you enter God’s presence, take some time to breathe and center yourself around Him.
Read: The first step is to read. As you read the passage the first time, pay attention to words or phrases that stick out to you and write those down.
Reflect: This time, reflect on the passage. As you read a second time, be aware of the emotions that rise in you as you listen and what character you relate to in the story.
Respond: Now respond. As you reread the passage, pay attention to the voice of the Lord. What is He saying, and what do you need to say in response?
Rest: Finally, rest in God's presence. Before you move on with your day, take a few minutes to meditate on the passage and what God is saying to you.
Pray: Take a moment to pray on your own or use this prayer as a guide:
Father God, thank you for your Word. Thank you that it speaks to me. Give me the strength to respond however you want me to, no matter what it looks like. If you want me to respond with unity as the disciples did, strengthen me to do so. If you want me to marvel at your works, show me and remind me of what you've done. Let this not just influence me in this moment, but let me dwell on this word for the rest of the day. Holy Spirit, I give you permission to speak to me; I’m listening. I love you. In Jesus' name, I pray, amen.
