21 Days: Commissionedნიმუში

DAY 17: EVERY WORD FULFILLED
Key verse: Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass. - Joshua 21:45
Together with the commission, God gives His promises. In Matt 28:18-20, we see that the Great commission is set between His promises: the promise of His authority and the promise of His presence flanks His commission.
As you read this, you might have promises from God that you are holding on to. Perhaps it's a promise of seeing a strained relationship healed and reconciled or a promise of healing or a miracle. Whatever it is, God is a promise keeper.
If we are honest, the wait is probably the hardest. When you are between the promise and the miracle or when what seemed certain suddenly feels unclear and out of sight, it can be difficult to trust that God will keep His promise.
Have you ever asked yourself; “Was that God or my own thoughts?” Perhaps even in this time of prayer and fasting you have heard God whisper promises to your heart, and even now, doubt has crept in into whether God can fulfil it.
Joshua 21:45 lays down the truth; God is always faithful to His promise.. Between the promise and the fulfilment, the Israelites waited and worked in hope. Eventually, every single word God spoke to His beloved nation was fulfilled.
Today, hold onto His promises for your life. Write it down. Pray it aloud. Don’t let the setbacks of life and the distractions of this world take your eyes off His promises because He is faithful to fulfil every word that He has spoken.
Response

About this Plan

In this 21-day devotional, Commissioned, we’ll explore how God called Joshua to lead His people into the Promised Land—and how He’s calling each of us to step into our own mission. Just like Joshua, we are commissioned by God to advance His purposes, no matter where we are. Over these next 21 days, you’ll be challenged to walk in faith, courage, and obedience, knowing that God goes before you, equips you, and strengthens you for every battle ahead. Prepare to reflect on your calling and the impact God wants to make through your life.
