One a Dayნიმუში

We encounter one of the most intriguing and significant stories ever told today. We see the origin of worship! This is the first time worship is ever mentioned in the Bible. Take the time to see how deliberate Abraham was in his obedience to God’s Words. Then, sit in the passage. Put yourself there. See yourself as Abraham, Isaac, or the servants. Think about how Sarah must have taken this moment. See Isaac, who was possibly thirty years old, allowing his elderly father to tie him down to sacrifice him. Think of the trust earned. It isn’t clear in the Scripture, but I think this all happened on the hill of Jerusalem and is a foreshadowing of God’s willingness to give His Son - not expecting us to sacrifice for Him. God expects first place in our lives. Give Him your whole heart, mind, soul, and strength in total devotion today.

About this Plan

Welcome to a plan that is designed to go slower together. We wanted to take things slow to allow for better meditation - one chapter a day covering every major division of the Bible. We staggered the order as well in order to keep things fresh. We have chosen a book from the Torah, historical books, the poetic writings, and the Prophets from the Old Testament. And, in the New Testament we have a Gospel, Pauline epistle, Hebrews, and the Revelation.
