Journey With Jesus 365ნიმუში

When dealing with unforeseen crises, how important is it for a believer to be spiritually prepared?
Jesus tells a parable of the ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom. Five were prepared with oil in their lamps and five were not prepared. When the bridegroom appeared, the five with oil for their lamp were ready while the five who were not prepared had to leave to find oil. This resulted in the five virgins without oil being left out of the celebration because they were not prepared.
If you are spiritually prepared when a crisis comes up, you will already have the strong relationship with God needed to sustain you through the crisis. If you have an opportunity to share your faith, you will be prepared if you have spent time studying the Bible. If you are constantly spending time with God, you will be prepared to comfort someone in sadness. Be sure you are spending time with the Lord daily so you will be ready and equipped when an opportunity or crisis comes your way.
