Eternal Victory

I wanted to close this week by reminding you that the victory of God is not temporary. We cannot compare the victory of God to the successes we experience during a sporting event or academic competition. The victory of God surpasses anything we know. That’s because His victory is eternal.

Jesus has claimed victory “in heaven and on earth and under the earth” (Philippians 2:10). We must never forget that “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:10-11). Everything in all of creation, one way or another, will recognize that Jesus is King and He has the victory. The heavens know it. The earth knows it. And hell knows it.

There is nothing like the name of Jesus. Praise God that, through His name, we have eternal victory!
