Living in Increase (Part 9) - Increase in Healthნიმუში

Train Your Body
1 Timothy 4:8 tells us that godliness is of value in “every way.” Still, we see that it is of “some value” to pay attention to training our bodies. Some versions of this verse use the word “discipline” instead of the word “training.” Even so, the original Greek word here is gymnasia, which means “exercise,” specifically in a school or athletic complex. It’s where we get the words “gymnasium” and “gym.” I don’t know about you, but I just learned that God’s Word talks about going to the gym!
In addition to exercising and training our bodies, physical health includes eating well, sleeping well, and doing anything else that can help our physical bodies thrive. Physical health is valuable in the Kingdom of God, and it is valuable in our lives!
