Living in Increase (Part 8) - Increase in Worshipნიმუში

Week 4: Worship as a Lifestyle
A Lifestyle of Worship
In Romans 12, the apostle Paul makes it clear that the way to “truly” worship God is by presenting our bodies to Him as a “living and holy sacrifice” (Romans 12:1). To “sacrifice” our bodies doesn’t mean to harm or neglect ourselves. Giving our bodies to God as worship means inviting Him into every part of who we are and allowing Him to call the shots. We are surrendering total control of our lives to Him. We are a vehicle for what He wants to accomplish every day.
The next time you present your life to God as worship, try praying through these things (adapted from the Pray First prayer guide from Church of the Highlands):
- God, I give You my tongue to speak good and not evil.
- God, I give You my eyes to focus on You and the needs of others.
- God, I give You my ears to be sensitive to Your voice.
- God, I give You my hands to do good for others.
- God, I give You my feet to walk in Your ways and follow Your footsteps.
- God, I give You my mind to be transformed and used by You.
To effectively offer our bodies to God through worship, we must surrender all of us to God daily.
