A Year in Luke/Actsნიმუში

Of course the cross and resurrection are the climax of the narrative of Luke’s gospel, but there is another important event to come that is easy to miss because, although it is explicitly mentioned, it is not narrated in the New Testament. This is the destruction of the Temple. Once the Temple is destroyed, it is never built again, to this day. This is going to become an example of a transfer of power from the Temple hierarchy to Jesus as the embodiment of the Temple. Jesus is going to be vindicated in all he has shared up until this point when his warnings are not heeded and the Temple is finally, and sadly, destroyed.
