A Year in Luke/Actsნიმუში

In the parable of the Ten Pounds, notice how the nobleman is going away “to receive royal power.” This image is similar to one we get in Daniel 7:13-14 of the Son of Man figure coming to the throne and being given dominion. We will see the significance of this in Luke 21. This parable is focused on what those who are followers of Jesus should get up to whilst they await his return. The servants are to “do business” with what they are given until their master returns.
There is a challenge to us in this parable: what are we doing with the deposit of the kingdom? Are we planting kingdom seeds in our families and culture through the lives we lead?
