5 Things to Look for in a Future Husbandნიმუში

Spiritual leadership isn't about dominating or having all the answers. Instead, it's about humbly guiding and nurturing spiritual growth within the relationship. A man who can provide spiritual leadership is actively pursuing his own faith journey. He's not perfect, but he's consistently seeking God's will and growing in his understanding of God’s Word. He’s chosen wholeheartedly to serve the Lord, as Joshua 24:15 says.
Look for someone who initiates spiritual conversations, suggests praying together, and encourages you in your spiritual growth. He should be comfortable discussing faith with you. A spiritual leader will also be accountable to other men who are also pursuing their faith. Look for a man who has a servant's heart, which we see in the call for husbands to give themselves up for their wives in Ephesians 5:25-26. Don’t expect perfection, but do look for someone kind and patient who doesn’t always insist on his own way. These are some of the qualities of love Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 13.
Think about these questions: What does he do in times of crisis or making important decisions? Does he turn to prayer and seek godly counsel? Is he willing to lead family devotions or Bible studies? Does he spend time in the Bible and in prayer? Remember, spiritual leadership is as much about attitude and effort as it is about knowledge. The right man will be eager to grow alongside you and help create a healthy environment where both of you can deepen your relationship with God.
Prayer:
Father, please guide me to a man who desires to lead me and our future family in your ways. In Jesus' name. Amen.
