Preparing for Christmasნიმუში

Today we take up the lens of surrender to reflect on Mary's openness to the Lord. Such openness to God’s will reflects a deep faith built on a foundation of trust. This is the same deep trust expressed by other characters of the scriptures that we are familiar with: David and Solomon. In today's verses, both David and Solomon humbly invited God's presence and blessing into their lives, surrendering their plans to His divine purposes. Mary’s response to the angel mirrors this same posture of heart. As we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ, may we too invite God’s presence in with a surrendered spirit.
