Domestic violence is the systematic way one person tries to gain power and control over another person physically, emotionally, sexually, spiritually, economically, or psychologically. It is not God's desire for human beings to interact with one another in this way. Instead, God calls everyone to love each other, as outlined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
