The way we communicate with our husbands can either build or break our relationship. Our words hold power. When we are aware of the impact of our words, we can choose to speak in ways that promote peace and understanding. This requires patience and self-control, qualities the Holy Spirit can cultivate in us.

Challenge:
Today, observe your words when speaking with your husband. If you notice you are about to say something negative or critical, pause and rephrase the sentence in a more constructive way. At the end of the day, reflect on how this change affected your communication.

Prayer:
Lord, place words in my mouth that build up and promote peace. Help me to be a wife who brings encouragement and understanding, using my words to strengthen our marriage. Amen.
