How do you speak in tongues?

If you have never spoken in tongues, you can practice this today. If you do speak in tongues and you want to help others to do it too, you can use this to help you.

Do you doubt if you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit? Then let someone pray for you and also speak out to God that you desire this.

Ask if He wants to give you His promise.

Ask Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit. And receive this immediately in faith without doubt. You don’t have to feel anything to know for sure.

You receive the baptism in the Spirit because God promises this in His Word:

Luke 11:13
‘If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!’

Once baptized in the Holy Spirit, you can try to start speaking in tongues.

How do you do that?

Just start praising and glorifying God.

Then you try to let the Holy Spirit take over the worship through tongues.

Stop thinking about ‘what am I doing’ and worship God with your mind. That means, thinking in your head about what you want to say to God.

In the meantime, let new sounds come out of your mouth. Just let it come.

It might start a bit strange, but keep going. You will see that after five or ten minutes rivers of living water start bubbling up out of your midst and you almost can’t stop with praying in tongues.

Enjoy it, it is your time with God.
