The Beatitudes in Paintნიმუში

The Meek
Do you want to be like Jesus? Work on your meekness.
He said: "Learn of me, for I am meek and humble of heart."
That he was meek doesn't mean he wasn't incredibly strong. He could still to a storm with a word when he was otherwise sleeping through it. He could restore the ear of a soldier while subjecting himself to arrest.
Blessed are we if we emulate him in his meekness.
Remember Moses, who in his time was the meekest man on earth. And he was the one God could use.
What is meekness but an equanimity of spirit? It's the epitome of self-control as it does not seek to control. Jesus only did what he saw the Father doing and nothing else at all.
And note the high reward: the earth and everything in it. It's by owning nothing that we own all things.
It's a promise for now. Meekness is something we can have, and have everything by it.
