Playing in the Dirt: Devotions for Crazy Plant Ladiesნიმუში

For Everyone
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people.
TITUS 2:11 CSB
Don’t you wish everyone had a plant? As crazy plant ladies, we know the joy of having plants in our lives, so of course we do! We know that plants cheer us up when we’re feeling down. Talking to a plant helps us get things off our minds. We smile on sunny mornings when we grab a watering can and greet our plants with a drink.
Plants offer a kind of friendship and encouragement that we want everyone to experience. If we had our way, there would be no such thing as “black thumbs.” Everyone would be able to grow plants, and plants would be for everyone!
The Bible describes a joy that truly is for everyone, and it has nothing to do with plants. It’s the “Good News,” or the Gospel of Jesus, and the salvation we have through His grace. Every human being who has ever lived, is living, or will live on this planet deals with sin in their lives. Sin causes us to mess up and do wrong, keeping us separated from God. The good news is that Jesus took the punishment for our sins so we can be reconciled to God.
There is no one so righteous or sinless that they don’t need the Gospel. No one is so bad or has sinned so significantly that the Gospel can’t help them. Sin is the great destroyer, but God is the great Savior. His Gospel is for everyone, and that is very good news.
If you feel burdened by things you have done wrong, turn to God. Accept the Good News that He offers you. Take Jesus up on His gift of salvation and be freed from sin. Simply say, “Jesus, I know I have sinned. I want to be forgiven. I accept Your gift of salvation, and I want to follow You as my Savior. Thank You for Your Good News.”
Sing to the Lord, all the world! Proclaim every day the good news that He has saved us.
