When asked what matters most in our faith, Jesus gave a seemingly simple answer: to love our neighbors as ourselves. But in reality, it’s not as simple as it sounds! First, we have to ask ourselves this: Who is my neighbor? See, we not only have physical neighbors—the people who live in our homes and communities—but we also have global neighbors—the people who live all around the world. When God calls us to love our neighbors, God is calling us to love everyone. The people we live with, the people we know, the people we interact with, the people we don’t yet know, the people we’ll never even meet—those are our neighbors. To serve them is to love them and to love them is to show our love for God.

This week, start by praying that God would show you ways to serve your neighbors—both the ones you know and the ones living across the world.
