Lord, I know that you call me to pray for all of those in authority. Help me to honor and respect those serving our nation, even if we disagree with their policies. I know you established all authority, and they are in their position because you allowed it. Make our nation great, and let its leaders honor you in all they do. Help them to turn their ear to wisdom and apply their hearts to understanding. I know that you will give it to them. Surround our leaders with godly counsel and direct them to lead us through the immense challenges we face, locally and nationally.

Help them put aside their political agendas and work together for the good of the people in this great country. Grant them the divine wisdom to do what is right, balance justice and mercy, and raise up people who will glorify you and serve you if they won't.
