Everyday Life in Revelation Part 9: Delivered Justiceნიმუში

We see the temple opened, and seven angels with seven plagues come from the temple. They are dressed in linen with golden sashes. They bring to mind the image of an Old Testament high priest serving within the Holy of Holies. In effect, these angels are heavenly high priests.
This says something about the wrath about to be poured upon planet Earth. God’s wrath is not a childish outburst of an impatient being or an expression of petty vindictiveness. The Lord’s wrath is no overreaction to small infringements and transgressions. God’s wrath is His perfect holiness on display. It is the consequence of an infinitely righteous being encountering sin that has not been atoned for. The holy angels pour out the holy wrath of our holy God. The Lord’s wrath is the perfect expression of His divine justice against those who refused to repent and submit to King Jesus.
Once the seven angels receive the seven bowls, God’s glory fills the tabernacle, and no one can go in until the wrath is fulfilled. The final, consummated creation where God dwells among His people in the new heavens and earth cannot occur until His wrath against sin has been fully and finally expressed.
