How would you define the “love”? You may say affection or appreciation toward something or someone. This word, love, at times in our culture gets tossed around. We say we love our friends. We say we love a particular restaurant. We say we love that sports team or that artist. In all these instances, we are simply scratching the surface of the true meaning of love. There is a deeper meaning to this word—one that is rooted in God’s Word. How did God show us the meaning of love? God sent Jesus to die for our sins on the cross. We can turn to Scripture to truly define love, and when we do, we see that real love was modeled by God, who loves us with the deepest love possible.

How can you let the love that God has shown you overflow in your life? Maybe your next step is to love your siblings, listen to your parents the first time they ask you to do something thing, or share the Good News of what Jesus has done with someone around you.
