Wise Men All Year Long

Christmas might be over, but Advent isn't! Jesus promised to come back again! When Jesus returns, it will be a day full of joy. Everyone who believes in Jesus will be there. This is why we need to be ready and waiting for when Jesus returns.

But how do we do that?

We need to have deep faith

Believing that Jesus exists is not enough. It’s a start, but it’s not going to get us into heaven. Remember the wise men? They knew that Jesus both existed and was worthy of worship. Like them, we must believe that Jesus is our Savior who died for us. That's the only way we can be saved.

We need to watch for Jesus

Just as the wise man watched for the star in the East, we need to watch for the return of Jesus. This is the heart of Advent- waiting expectantly for Jesus's second coming. We do this by living in a way that reflects Jesus. When we live like Him, we are preparing ourselves for His return so that we don’t get caught off-guard.

We need to listen to warnings

The wise men listened to the warning of the angel who told them not to go back to King Herod. They ended up saving Jesus’s life!

Is there a warning that you need to listen to? Maybe someone you hang out with is pressuring you to do wrong things. Or maybe your parents are warning you not to do something they believe is dangerous. Whatever it might be, dare to listen to those warnings. You never know how your actions might affect you or someone else later on.

We need to adore Jesus

Did you know that God loves hearing your words of thanks to Him? The Bible tells us that one of the best ways we can adore Jesus is by giving Him thanks. In fact, the Bible tells us to always be thankful!

During this Advent season and beyond, let's adore Jesus for what He's done. Give Him thanks every day for creating you, coming to the world, saving you from your sins, and giving you hope for heaven!

This is how we can be wise men all year long!
