Different Life: 2nd Commandmentნიმუში

The flipside of not misusing God’s name is using it well. In Jesus’s day (and in Jewish culture today), there was such a fear of (or respect for) using God’s name that they wouldn’t even say his name, but instead would substitute it with words like “Lord,” “the Name,” or “heaven.” But Yahweh invites you to know him and call on him by name. His name should be a delight to your lips. A well-spring of joy. A cry of hope and faith. An anchor of salvation.
About this Plan

Christians are different. They can’t help it. When you’re born again and filled with the Spirit, it changes you. This leads to different values about right and wrong, and a different lifestyle to match it. This series of 5-day plans uses the 10 Commandments (following the classic Augustinian ordering) as a vehicle for an alternative, Christ-like morality and Jesus-way of living.
