Loving people can be a challenge, right?
There are certain people who frequently get on our nerves. They say the wrong things at the wrong time, seem to be unaware of the needs around them, and over time, our frustration builds.
Even though it is easy to point out other people's flaws, it is healthy to take a step back and realize that we are all imperfect people, and we all make mistakes.
In all of our relationships, it is easy to find fault in people and make a mental checklist of all the things they need to change. The thing about God's love is that we are met right where we are, and each day, we have the chance to become a more whole, healthy, and loving person.
Our verse today reminds us that all of us--even the people who get on our nerves the most--are made in the image of God. When we let that reality sink in, we are better able to see people around us through a lens of love . . . and that perspective compels us to pray for those around us.
We may think that others are difficult to love, and if we're honest, sometimes we may find it difficult to love ourselves. The best part is, God loves us right where we are and is committed to helping us grow.

About this Plan

For the next four weeks, we'll follow the story of Samuel to see how God called him to share his faith through his words and actions. We'll discover how God invites us to share the Good News, see why sharing the Good News should start with prayer, explore what to do when sharing the Good News sometimes requires risk, and see how sharing the Good News can happen every day.
