Look Closely:
- John’s work is finished. Christ’s work begins. These are the first words He speaks in Mark. Read verse 15 three or four times. What strikes you as significant about Jesus’ words?
- Imagine yourself hearing Jesus say this as you go about an ordinary day, finishing your work, shopping for food, visiting a friend. What about these words would make you pause and continue to listen?
- If you knew nothing more about Jesus, what would you expect to see, learn, or experience after hearing these words?

About this Plan
In a world of hostility, corruption, and confusion, a regular guy named Mark wrote his gospel to boldly proclaim that Jesus is THE good news. Mark vividly tells his story with urgency and purpose, giving all of us a front-row seat to the teachings, miracles, discipleship, and life of Jesus.
