4 Names for Loveნიმუში

Agape
Agape is a special kind of love. It’s selfless and unconditional – it extends to every person, no matter what. To show agape love for someone requires us to care more for them than we do for ourselves. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind love.
Jesus told us what Agape love looks like in Matthew 22:37-39. He says, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind” and to “love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus also demonstrated agape love when he died on the cross to forgive our sins. This love cost Jesus his life, but he went through with the plan because he wanted what was best for us – forgiveness and eternity in Heaven with him!

It’s also different from the love we have for our siblings or parents. How can one word express such a broad range of emotions? It can’t. In this Bible Reading Plan, we’ll look at 4 words from the Greek language that represent different types of love and how the Bible encourages us to express it.
