Jesus Arrives in Bethany and Stays the Day

Six days before the last supper, Jesus has arrived in Bethany to be with His close friends Lazarus, Mary, and Martha.

Have you ever been in a situation where you knew something big was coming? Perhaps, like we see here, the death of a loved one was imminent. Sometimes all you wanted to do was spend time with those close to you and enjoy the last moments together.

Jesus was no different; He was fully human, with human emotions. He valued so strongly the relationships He had with these three, along with His disciples. But He also knew this wouldn’t be the last He would see of them.
