What Was Jesus' Mission on Earth?ნიმუში

Blindness or sight
“Jesus said, ‘For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.’” (John 9:39)
Jesus came to heal people of their blindness. Not primarily physically (although Jesus healed several blind people), but most of all spiritually. He is eager to explain to people about God's Kingdom. He wants to open their eyes to the sin in their hearts, but also to the possibility of forgiveness and healing. He wants them to see who He really is: the Son of God, the Savior.
Unfortunately, there are also those who believe they have clear vision, and therefore are unwilling to listen to Jesus. In reality, however, they are blind.
People’s response to Jesus shows their attitude toward God. Simeon already prophesied this when Jesus was just born: “Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel [...] so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed” (Luke 2:34-35). In this sense, Jesus' coming leads to a judgment, a verdict. His coming forces people to make a choice for or against Jesus; to let Him heal their blindness or reject Him and become increasingly blinded by darkness. For if you turn your back on the light, it gets darker and darker in your life.
Do you see clearly?

About this Plan

Jesus Christ came to earth for a purpose. His coming was a conscious decision. During the years in which He traveled around the land of Israel and made God's Kingdom known, He also explained why He came to earth. Several times, we read in the Gospels: “I have come to...”. This reading plan aims to trace some of those statements to make us aware of Jesus’ mission.
