Uncommon Loveნიმუში

SHARING JESUS
Through this devotional, we have seen Jesus encounter people right where they are. In Luke 19, we see Him do this again with Zacchaeus, the chief tax collector. Many things have changed since biblical times, but one thing remains, no one likes a tax collector!
Jesus sees Zacchaeus, calls him by name, and invites Himself over for a meal. After this encounter with Jesus, Zacchaeus is compelled to give generously to the poor and restore everything to those he has cheated.
Jesus went out of His way to connect with people that others avoided. The tax collector, the Samaritan woman, the outcasts of society. He listened to their stories and showed them compassion. He gave them each an opportunity to encounter His love.
The hurting people in our world need to encounter this uncommon love of Jesus. How will they know if we don’t share with them? It starts with a simple act of love. Why not start today?
Daily Prayer
God, would you show me one person outside of my usual circles to whom I can show uncommon love? Help me share the love of Jesus with that one person today.

About this Plan

The Bible speaks of a love that is unfathomable. God’s love is limitless, offered freely to all people at all times. It is an uncommon love. Over the next 14 days, we will go on a journey of first understanding His uncommon love for us and then how His uncommon love empowers and compels us to live.
