Infinitum Advent Make Room, Week 3ნიმუში

Christmas is the story of God looking to be received Himself by His creation. We often don’t think of it that way - we tend to picture the Emmanuel/incarnation of Christmas. That God came to us as a gift. But Jesus’ entry into the world was God’s vulnerability to our welcome, apathy or rejection.
We marvel at the idea of ‘no room for Him at the inn’ from the original Christmas story, but this Christmas, let’s consider the available room there is for Him in our lives. What would it look like to fully receive Jesus this Christmas?
Perhaps as you ponder that question, a metaphorical room in your heart comes to mind—a place where Jesus isn’t permitted. Or a space in your life where Jesus never seemed applicable! Or maybe it’s even bigger than that, perhaps you’re feeling drawn for the first time to really ruminate on the idea of what it means to RECEIVE Jesus into your heart.
Let’s consider it again: what would it look like to fully receive Jesus this Christmas?
How DO we receive/welcome God when Jesus is no longer a baby looking for a place to be born?
