Infinitum Family Advent, Week 2ნიმუში

Generousity builds our trust in God
Take a little time to name some things we know about God. We’ll get you started: God is gentle, patient, trustworthy, safe, and protective. Can you name a few more?
Aren’t these some of the qualities we look for in a friend? Don’t we want people in our lives (close to our hearts) who are gentle and trustworthy, protective and patient? Spending time thinking about God as our FRIEND helps us remember that we are in good company. He is looking out for us. He cares what happens to us. He would do things to help us.
When this is how we picture God, it gives us the courage to be generous because we don’t have to worry about who’s looking out for us while we’re looking out for others. We KNOW who has our back: God. Our Friend.
Is there a situation in your world where you WANT to be generous, but you’re holding back because you’re afraid of something? How might picturing God as your Friend give you the courage to take the risk of generousity?
