Year of the Bible: Part Eight of Twelveნიმუში

Jesus: A Teacher Who Actually Has Something to Say!
Jesus's first public teaching series was full of punchy, thought-provoking, and borderline scandalous topics.
Jesus wanted His hearers to think again about what they had always been taught. He invited them toward a way of life not focused on behavior management but instead one that produces transformation.
When Jesus finished this teaching series, "the crowds were astonished at His teaching, for He was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes" (Matthew 7:28-29).
The word "astonished" means Jesus's teaching blew people's minds. They had never heard teaching like this, in which they felt convicted yet cared for, prodded and simultaneously loved.
Question: When was the last time you let God change how you think about a specific topic?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, teach me to stand firm on the truth but at the same time remain teachable and humble before You. May Your words open my heart and mind in fresh new ways. Teach me and lead me in Your grace. Amen!
See You Next Month: Part nine of twelve starts on the 1st. We hope to see you there! Don't forget to start the plan and create your daily reminder.
