The Birth of the Christian Churchნიმუში

Philip was among the group of seven chosen to serve and support the early church ministry (Acts 6:5). Philip, like Stephen, was also an evangelist and had a preaching ministry. Stephen’s martyrdom greatly changed the early church and the Jewish population in Jerusalem. The Christians fled the city, taking the gospel message to the surrounding areas. The apostles and many of the Hebraic Christians remained in Jerusalem, but those who did lived in fear of persecution.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)
