Stay Teachable - Proverbs 23
One of the greatest qualities we can possess is a teachable heart. It’s impossible to grow if we’re not teachable. I have found that God can use anyone and everyone to teach me something. It’s not just a leader, mentor, or teacher – it could be a friend, co-worker, or someone who works for you. Are you humble enough to receive and learn from anyone?
Being teachable is more of an attitude than anything else – it’s an attitude of the heart. If you think you know it all (and no one likes a “know it all”), then learning and growth will slow down and eventually stop. I don’t think we can afford to live that way. Keep your heart and ears open to instruction and knowledge!
“Father, I ask you to help me keep a soft and teachable heart so I can apply my heart to how you’re instructing me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
