Jonah 2 Following Jesus When You’d Rather Run Awayნიმუში

Surrender is the Right Response for the Runaway
In the flip of a page, Jonah goes from running to returning; escaping to surrendering.
Jonah begins to recognize that the ship, the storm, the sea––all of it has been God running after him, pursuing him, and chasing him down. Then Jonah realizes he doesn't want to be away from God any longer.
What a transformation story that Jonah now has to share!
Name the ways that God has been pursuing you, and thank Him for those ways today.
What areas in your life are you clinging to control?
What do you need to let go of today and completely hand over to God?
In what way is it difficult for you to surrender?
Pray: Thank God for the number of ways He has pursued you. Ask God to reveal any pride that is holding you back from surrendering to Him.
